There have been many outstanding Poker players who have paved the way for others to follow their trends. Everyone has the players that they like or dislike for whatever reasons, but it’s not how much we like the player that matters, it’s how they play the game. Dan Harrington is a fairly new professional player who got his start as an attorney. His love of math and ability to quickly calculate odds propelled him to the top, and he is now considered to be a very formidable opponent. Crandell Addington is an old school pro who retired back in the 1980s. Crandell has been said to be a no-limit Hold’em legend and is famous for his high-stake games and aggressive betting style.
Barbara Enright is famous because she is the only woman to have reached the final table of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) No limit Hold’em main event. This is quite an accomplishment, in addition to Barbara being the only woman to win two WSOP bracelets. No list of great Poker players would be complete without a mention of Phil Hellmuth. Phil Hellmuth is well known for holding a record eleven World Series of Poker bracelets and for winning the Main Event of the 1989 World Series of Poker. Wow, eleven bracelets- can you imagine? I think it’s safe to assume that Phil employed a little more than just good luck when playing his Poker games.
